'I Wanna Write A Song' is the first song Anthony wrote. This song was performed many times by the young Star System Express Band. If fact it was requested more then any of the original songs they played back then. It simply is about Anthony's desire to write a song. It featurs both a drum solo and a organ solo. The band played for many activity periods at his high school. Hinkley High School had activity periods for clubs to meet. But many did not belong to a club and Star System Express played for all, in the cafeteria, that had not left campus and was not in a club. Fond memories when this song was requested.... recorded by Anthony in a solo recording.

Have you ever wanted to make your own sound

but every time you try it people put you down

I'm trying to write a song thats what I'm talking 'bout

yet every time I try I always want to shout

Seems every time I try I only want to cry

It makes me so frustrated All I wanna do is sing
